Who we are

Norma C. Brown is the owner of ProVision CT : The First African American-owned optical boutique in CT and the first licensed female optician in Fairfield County. Born and raised in England, and of Jamaican descent, Norma credits her parents with teaching her the value of a principle-centered work ethic and embracing her creative side. Her mother – a home-based entrepreneur – loved fashion and was a sample maker for many well-known haute couture designers in London. Norma’s father – an electrician – taught her the importance of paying attention to detail. She celebrates being from a family of entrepreneurs including grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
